We would like to start by thanking the Bindjareb women and children who have helped us create a very special Yarning circle while sharing their culture.
We acknowledge the Mandjoogoordap Bingjareb Noongar traditional owners and community and pay respect to elders past and present and future for they hold the knowledge of an ancient culture and aspirations for future generations .

Mandjoogoordap (Mandurah) Means the meeting place of the heart.
The Yarning circle reflects the journey through Mandurah and surrounding region’s fauna, bush lands, water ways, and surrounding communities.
It is a belief that the great Waagal (snake) she came out from the sea and began to create peel inlet and estuary.
She found she was carrying eggs and nested in between the estuary until her eggs hatched . Too tired, She instructed her babies to do the rest of the work she sent one to make the Serpentine River, one to produce the Murray River and one to make the Harvey River which formed the unique shape of Mandurah today.
The indigenous symbols created represent the work Ellas house does within the community.
